Adele Leroi Nickel was born in Portland, OR, where she began her dance

training at Oregon Ballet Theater under the direction of James

Canfield. She also studied under full scholarship at the Joffrey

School and trained and performed with the San Francisco Ballet before

Moving to New York in 2001. She has since danced for Noemie

LaFrance/Sens Productions, Katie Workum, Dana Ruttenberg & Dancers,

Patrick Corbin/Corbin DANCES and Battery Dance Company, with whom she

has performed and taught throughout Germany and Southeast Asia.

Adele was first inspired by Mayuna Shimizu's choreography in 2006 at a

performance at the International House in Tokyo, and is delighted to

now be beginning this collaboration with Blue Muse Dance.
