Maiko Matsui is native of Osaka Japan, trained at Laban Center London (‘01~’02). She came to NYC in 2004 and has been studying at Peridance, with improvisation/choreography in modern, contemporary, contact improvisation, releasing technique, yoga and somatic movement. She has appeared at Peridance faculty showcase (’04,’05), “HEART BLOOMS” at Dance Forum where she danced contact-improvisation with Mayuna. This is the her first time to perform in Blue Muse Dance’s work. She is also a certified GYROKINESIS® teacher.
